Jason Kinnear is Associate Dean of Study Abroad & Exchanges at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Working in IE for over 20 years, he has held positions in ISSS, education abroad, and service-learning at the University of Northern Colorado, Colorado State University, and the University of Missouri.

These positions touched on all aspects of education abroad, including advising, program development & administration, risk management, and leading programs abroad. He has held several volunteer leadership positions in the Forum and NAFSA: Association of International Educators. Jason studied abroad in London and holds an MA in Education Leadership from the University of Northern Colorado.

Chris Churma is an education abroad consultant and most recently was the Director of University Relations at Semester at Sea. Working in IE for 19 years, he has held a variety of positions at the University of Minnesota, Colorado State University, and Semester at Sea.

Throughout his education abroad career, Chris’s positions have included a wide variety of aspects including student recruitment, partnership relations, experiential learning program development, student advising, program management, and marketing and outreach. He has held several leadership positions with NAFSA: Association of International Educators. Chris studied abroad with Semester at Sea as well as participated in a study and internship program in London. He holds a MA in Educational Policy and Administration/International Education and Exchange from the University of Minnesota.

Brooke Roberts is founder of Inside Study Abroad and former Senior Vice President of GoAbroad.com. Working in IE for nearly 15 years, she has held positions in education abroad, international internships, marketing, student recruitment, and student advising. 

For the past eight years, Brooke has grown several businesses and organizations to multiple six and seven figures in revenue and regularly consults for small and medium companies on marketing and growth strategies in the digital economy. 

Rebecca D. Hansen is currently the Assistant Director of International Admissions at Northern Kentucky University. She has held positions in offices of admission at both Westminster College (SLC) and Stetson University, and transitioned to leading an international admissions team within an ISSS office at Northern Kentucky University in 2015.

Rebecca Hansen’s eleven years in the field has given her firsthand experience with international student recruitment, including agent partner relations, armchair recruitment, goal-oriented recruitment travel, on-campus student advocacy, scholarship management, and strategic campus internationalization. Ms. Hansen is currently pursuing her MA in Integrative Studies with focuses on International Education, Communication, and Leadership, which she will complete May 2022.

Sam has over 20 years of experience in international education. She's become a leading professional in international internship program design and delivery. 

Sam is passionate about providing opportunities for professionals in international education to learn about best practices and collaborate to improve experience for both students and staff, is a former Board Director of the Association of American Study Abroad Programmes UK, co-founder of PDX Abroad, and is currently the Placements and Business Engagement Manager at the University of Roehampton in London, UK.

Brooke has over 18 years of experience in international  education. She went from intern to executive in four years and has founded two companies in the industry. She's worked in multiple facets of IE including program design, administration, and delivery; organizational management; digital marketing; student recruitment and advising, and more. 

In 2009, Brooke founded Inside Study Abroad and GPI to provide a resource and community for the next generation of international education leaders and professionals. 

Jody is theAssistant Vice Provost, International Student & Scholar Advising at Penn State University. She began her career in international education by teaching English as a foreign language in China in 2002.  Since then, she earned a Masters Degree in Student Affairs Counseling  and held various ISSS leadership positions at Georgia State University, Missouri State University, the University of South Carolina, and Drury University. 

Her career spans almost 20 years and includes comprehensive international student support experience ranging from enrollment management, programmatic enrichment, immigration compliance advisement, and international employee administration. She's also held leadership roles at NAFSA where she has served as the Region IV treasurer, the South Carolina State Representative, the Region VII Chair, and currently the Regional Affairs Committee Chair-Elect Cohort Coach. 

She holds a Ph.D. from University of Missouri-Columbia in the Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis Program.  Her dissertation focused on the transformative outcomes of an international study experience.
