Update: What's New with Inside Study Abroad

What a wild ride this has been so far! When I first launched Inside Study Abroad back in 2009, I was motivated to create a place where individuals like myself could learn, collaborate, and discuss the love affair we all have with Study Abroad. From seasoned executives to fresh-faced advisors, I aimed to start conversations and ruffle a few feathers, inform yet learn, be an advisor (and sometimes an advisee), but most importantly: do my part to give back to the community that has given so much to me.

This is why I am so excited to announce that today marks the official first day of the brand new Inside Study Abroad! While it might not look much different on the outside (yet), behind the scenes my team of badass interns and myself are working our tails off to bring you the best insider material to help you in your career and creating a global life you love. Whether you have 20 years experience, or just landed your first interview, there will be something for everyone.

So what exactly can you expect from the new Inside Study Abroad? To put it simply: a whole lot! Each week you will have brand new information coming at you from all corners of the field, be it expert advice, tips of the trade, or tools to help you succeed, all of it was created with you in mind.

From getting to know my awesome team of interns just starting out in the field, to the movers and shakers in the industry, no job description will be left untouched, no tip left untold! But don’t let me do all the talking, we want to hear from you as well! Each month you can look forward to guest articles to shed some light on their personal experiences and professional insights. If you are interested in contributing, awesome! We want you!

A brand new element to the site that I am very excited to introduce is a weekly web show/podcast. Tune in each week to The New Dorothy Show and listen along as I discuss anything from yoga trips to Bali to why I’m obsessed with the Kansas Jayhawks to my ideas on why no one is hiring you (yep, I go there).

Oh and did I mention… it’s almost here! In the next few months, the wait will be over and the Global Pro Institute will arrive. So stay tuned and be sure to sign up to be the first to know when this game-changer arrives.
